Work with Nicole: Program & Curriculum Design
When you build on a strong foundation, you set yourself up for lasting impact. Learning about your audience’s hopes and challenges, developing those insights into a solution based on their needs, challenges and resiliency, brainstorming multiple ideas to solve their problems to pull out a possible solution, and sharing this for feedback using evaluative thinking and evidence can lead to creating impactful programs, services, campaigns, and workshops.
Commonly used in the business world, the design thinking process is a human-centered problem-solving process that emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and creativity. When it’s used within the context of designing a program, service, workshop, or campaign, it serves as a blueprint so that, if you were to take the same program and place it in another community, others will achieve the same results.
When you design a program or workshop, you usually have an idea of the impact you want to have. But does it speak to a genuine need of your audience? Does it provide a solution to a problem they’re facing? Can you pivot quickly based on feedback that results in meaningful change over time?
In other words, it doesn’t pay to create a program or service because it sounds like a good idea or it’s the new “it” thing at the moment.
Focusing on key learning styles and learning principles, Nicole Clark Consulting designs programs, services, and workshops and that are human-centered, gender-affirming and culturally-relevant. When you are invested in this process, the energy carries onward, and the drives the success of program, service, workshop or campaign.
